It’s so subtle that you can’t even tell it’s there! There are various great ways to eat broccoli, and if you want to make a gorgeous green smoothie as a nutritious breakfast or snack, this is your best bet!
Mangos, oranges, apples, pears, pineapples, berries, and bananas fashioned in their recipes are coupled well with broccoli in a smoothie or even juices! You can use water, coconut water, almond milk, regular milk, dairy-free milk, or juice to add value to your creativity and flavor.

- 1bag (12 oz) frozen broccoli cuts
- 1cup frozen unsweetened mango chunks
- 1/2cup carrot juice
- 1/2cup orange juice
- 1tablespoon sugar
- Cook broccoli as directed on package. Rinse with cold water until cooled. Drain.
- In a blender, place 1/4 cup of the cooked broccoli and the remaining ingredients. (Cover and refrigerate remaining broccoli for another use.) Cover; blend at high speed for about 30 seconds or until smooth.
- Pour into two glasses. Serve immediately
Apples, Bananas, And Pineapple
This broccoli smoothie is delicious because it blends fruit and yogurt with green florets. There’s no actual technique here: this smoothie is primarily made of fruit like apple, banana, and pineapple.
What you will need:
- Chop broccoli into tiny florets to toss it in!
- Apple: We like green apples because of their sweet taste and vibrant green color, but any apple will suffice.
- Banana is essential for achieving a creamy texture.
- Frozen pineapple provides the perfect amount of frosty texture and flavor. If you want, you may use frozen mango instead!
- Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt is a fantastic addition to smoothies since it is high in protein and contains probiotics, which aid digestion and intestinal health.

- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup chopped small broccoli florets
- One large green apple, chopped
- One banana (room temperature)
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
In a blender, insert all ingredients, starting with the liquids and breaking the banana into pieces. Blend until completely smooth. Eat right away or keep refrigerated in a closed container for up to 1 day.
TIP: You may leave out the Greek yogurt for a vegan smoothie. Use almond milk or oat milk instead of water if you want a creamier texture, and add as much water as you see fit to get it to blend.

Generally, this meal can take 10 minutes to prep, 30 minutes to cook, and an additional cool-off time of 5 minutes, leaving us with a total of 45 minutes for the whole process.
- One medium head of broccoli, cut to florets and steamed almost fork tender
- One medium head cauliflower, cut to florets and steamed almost fork tender
- Eight cooked and crumbled bacon strips
- a half-cup of sour cream
- One tablespoon thick whipping cream
- 4 ounces sharp cheddar shredded cheese (half of an 8 oz block)
- 1/2 of an 8-ounce brick of shredded Colby jack cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- One tablespoon mustard (any sort)
- 1 tsp garlic powder or fresh
- One tablespoon paprika
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Apply oil to a 8 x 8 (inch) baking pan and preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Set aside.
- Combine sour cream, heavy whipping cream, cheeses, and seasonings in a large mixing bowl and stir to combine.
- Combine the cauliflower, broccoli, half of the chopped bacon, and half of the green onions in a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly.
- Evenly distribute the batter in the prepared pan.
- Add more cheese, green onions, and the rest of the bacon (if desired).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, with the foil removed for the last 5 minutes.

Peanut sauce is my one true passion in life, and this Cooking Light version is almost too incredible. Combine three tablespoons of reduced-fat creamy peanut butter, a tablespoon of rice vinegar, one tablespoon of reduced-sodium soy sauce, and one and a half spoons of toasted sesame seeds. If necessary, thin with a dash of water.
Meats That Go Well With Broccoli
Brocolli pairs with almost every single meat; if there is a will – there’s a way and most definitely a recipe about it! You’d often find broccoli in a stir fry, roasted with meat, or even as a steamy side with meat.
Broccoli can be cooked in many different ways well with pork, chicken, beef, lamb, turkey, venison, and duck. Broccoli could be cooked by stirfry, steamed, grilled, roasted, sauteed, or blanched to go with the meat. It isn’t easy to find meat that does not pair well with broccoli.
I am particularly fond of beef with broccoli, a typical Chinese-American meal, for instance. Garlic, broth, soy sauce, lime juice, and Sriracha are all items that I have on hand in my kitchen at all times. You’ll want to use hoisin, a fermented bean paste, to give the meal a more distinctive Chinese-American flavor.
Here is a beef and broccoli stirfry recipe I like to use:
- 2/3 cup soy sauce (low sodium) split
- Lime juice (1/2 lime)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch divided 3 tbsp. packed brown sugar, divided
- Kosher Salt
- Black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 pound sirloin steak, finely cut against the grain
- 2 tbsp. oil (vegetable)
- Three garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp. Sriracha 1/3 cup low-sodium beef (or chicken) broth (optional)
- One broccoli head, sliced into florets
- Garnish with sesame seeds
- Green onions thinly cut as a garnish
- 1/3 cup soy sauce, lime juice, one tablespoon brown sugar, and one tablespoon cornstarch, whisked together in a medium bowl. Season the meat with salt and pepper before tossing it to coat it evenly. Allow 20 minutes to marinate.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until charred, about 2 minutes on each side, in a single layer, working in batches if necessary. Remove the steak from the pan and put it aside.
- Stir in the garlic and simmer for 1 minute, or until fragrant. Stir in the remaining one tablespoon cornstarch until the garlic is evenly coated, then add the broth, two tablespoons of brown sugar, 1/3 cup soy sauce, and Sriracha. Bring the mixture to a low boil. Add the broccoli and cook until it’s soft about 5 minutes. Return the meat to the pan and season with salt and pepper (if required).
- Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
