What Fruit Goes with Strawberries and Blueberries?

Strawberries and blueberries on a wooden table.

Strawberries and blueberries can be enjoyed all year long. That, coupled with the fact that they can be paired with almost every other food and drink, makes both of these berries a must-have in the kitchen. When purchasing or harvesting strawberries, aim for bright red berries that are free of mold or black stains. Also, make sure there isn’t any mold on the blueberries! The sweeter the fruit, the juicer it is. Keeping that in mind, here are a few fruits that go well with strawberries.

Pineapple

Feel the skin to see whether it is ripe; if it is, it should yield a little. The pineapple’s base may also be detected. It’s ripe and ready if it smells like a delicious pineapple!

Kiwi

Lightly press the skin of the kiwi fruit. It’s ripe when it gives slightly. Super hard kiwis should be avoided since they are bitter and harsh.

Grapes

Regardless of whether they are green or red, we don’t need any grapes that are mushy or wrinkled!

Oranges

Look for oranges that are brilliant orange in color with no black spots or bruises, such as mandarin oranges or clementines.

Lemon

A dash of lemon juice and zest truly brings the flavors of this fruit salad to life. A touch of sweetness, such as maple syrup or honey, will tie the salad together.

Watermelon

Melon, such as cantaloupe, honeydew, or watermelon, is commonly seen in fruit salads. If you have a melon on hand, feel free to use it in this recipe!

Apple

This is an extremely popular fruit that’s high in antioxidants, vitamins, fiber, and other nutrients. Isn’t it true that an apple a day keeps the doctor away? Possibly! According to scientific evidence, this popular fruit could also prevent cancer. If you’re searching for a crunch, apples are a wonderful option. They do have a tendency to turn brown rapidly, so keep that in mind.

Banana

This happens to be one of the most widely consumed fruits on the planet. They are high in vital nutrients that can help to preserve your health. Bananas include vitamin C, potassium, and other vitamins that contribute to general health. Because the sugar content of the fruit is balanced with fiber, it aids in the maintenance of a healthy blood glucose level. Bananas are another frequent fruit included in fruit salads, and while I enjoy bananas, I find that they rapidly become brown and slimy, so I don’t generally use them in my fruit salad.

Mango

Mango is a healthy fruit that is high in nutrients that can benefit your skin and general health. They’re high in magnesium and potassium, which are both linked to decrease blood pressure and a steady pulse. Mangos also contain a chemical called mangiferin, which preliminary research suggests may be able to decrease cardiac inflammation. Mangos might assist in keeping your digestive system in check. The mango strawberry smoothie is a fantastic combination that is both tasty and healthy. To obtain that rich, creamy texture, you can also add extra cream to the recipe.
