Have you ever wanted to take a walk, I mean a very long walk, over many days and miles (or kilometers)? Are you interested in hearing true stories from people who have, and learning what motivated them and helped them have a positive experience?
Join us at Mission Pie Thursday August 17th from 6-7pm for a conversation with three friends of Mission Pie who each have walked at least one of the Camino de Santiago (499 miles), the Pacific Crest Trail (2650 miles) and the Pennine Way (268 miles).
- Becca Nelson left her colleagues at Mission Pie in April to embark on a journey to Europe beginning with the Camino de Santiago. She heard of the pilgrimage a year before and felt a calling to complete this ancient path through northern Spain.
- After 20 years as a chief executive of environmental agencies, Jared Blumenfeld chose to walk the Pacific Crest Trail during the Summer of 2016; and
- Anya Blumenfeld, a Junior at Bay School, led her parents through the bogs and moors of the Pennine Way in Northern England this Summer.
